About the qualification comparison
UHR has assessed the foreign qualification in comparison to a Swedish level of higher education. A more precise comparison to one year of studies at the Bachelor’s level or a Higher Education Diploma depends on factors such as the qualification’s nominal length of study and can only be provided on the basis of individual documentation.
The foreign qualification is in a profession that is regulated (requires authorisation) in Sweden. The Swedish National Agency for Education is the competent authority that decides on certification for teachers and preschool teachers. Please visit skolverket.se
The first cycle represents the first level in a three-part European structure for higher education (Bologna level 1). The figure below shows qualifications at this level.
This assessment is provided as guidance by UHR. It is based on our knowledge of the country’s education system and not on the individual’s education documents. UHR applies the principles of the international recognition convention Lisbon Recognition Convention and assumes the foreign qualification is recognised in the country of study.
