I’m planning on studying in Sweden
If you've completed a qualification and want to plan how to continue studying in Sweden, you can apply for an evaluation – but you don’t need to wait for a statement before applying to higher education.
Foreign upper-secondary education
The evaluation shows whether your education provides you with the general entry requirements for higher education or not, or if it is a vocational upper-secondary education that doesnt provide the general entry requirements. If your education give you access to higher eduaction, the evaluation will also show whether your education provides you with specific entry requirements for particular subjects.
Subjects that are not necessary for specific entry requirements, such as psychology, computer science or economics, are not evaluated.
You can use the statement to find out what you need to add to your education before continuing to study.
Don’t wait for the evaluation
It is the higher education institution that makes decisions regarding eligibility and admissions. It is not necessary to have an evaluation of your foreign qualification to be able to apply for higher education.
You can apply straight to the higher education institution and the evaluation is then carried out in association with your application to study.
The important thing to remember is that you don’t need to wait for a statement from us before applying to higher education, as an evaluation of your eligibility is done directly.
You can find more information and apply to higher education via Antagning.se
Applying to study at Master’s level
A statement on higher education (e.g. a Bachelor’s degree) from UHR does not provide any guarantee or advantage when applying for Master’s courses.
If you wish to continue studying at Master’s level, it is the higher education institution that makes decisions regarding eligibility and admissions.
Applications and more information are available at: Antagning.se or Universityadmissions.se
Incomplete foreign higher education
If you have incomplete foreign education and wish to continue studying in Sweden, you should contact the higher education institution at which you would like to study. They will provide you with information about their courses and programmes and how to apply.
